One of the best settings for a beer on the planet (especially after a surf) the Deck is an institution in Plett and South Africa! Awesome views and surprisingly good value, if old-school, breakos.

This vibey Italian spot right on Keurboom beach is a good spot for a change of scenery just out of Plett. The food is fantastic, and the wild beach is perfect to walk off those Italian carbs!

Just because you're in the Garden route, doesn't mean you cant smash some local Sauvignon Blanc or MCC! Bramon offers tappas style food to compliment the wine and has tables set amongst the vineyards.

Sightseeing
The peninsula is great for short to half day strolls and provides good views of Robberg beach and Plett. The seal colony is worth the smell, especially if you get to spot a shark as I have done!

Lookout beach has radically transformed over the years, but its current form offers a fantastic option for beaching, swimming and surfing. There's also a lagoon section which is great for kidlets.

Robberg beach is possibly my happiest place on the planet. I like the parking off Capricorn Pl for a beach session with its amazing swimming, surfing, dog-walking and evening picnic options.

This bistro has amazing almond croissants which feature regularly during our holidays! It has a lovely courtyard setting for coffee or bigger meals - good breakfasts.
