If you can handle the mega steep hill at Southside then head here on low tide and walk the whole way to Point Addis along the beach. It's not really a beach where you'd just hang (more to surf or walk) although Point Addis is good for a relaxing beach session. Please note that Southside is officially a nudist beach so you don't get a surprise!

You can essentially walk the whole way from Torquay to Bells Beach (and beyond) if you feel like a good, long walk. You can start along the Esplanade, down the boardwalk that crosses over to Jan Juc and then stick to the Jan Juc cliff path, you'll walk past the Surf Life Saving Club, Jan Juc Beach Carpark, Bird Rock, Boobs/Steps, the first carpark at Bells and then eventually get to Bells. If you're feeling keen you can even keep going to Southside Beach but that would take you 1.5 hours each way if you're walking at a moderate pace just to Bells.
