Simply one-of-a-kind spot in the world that must be seen to be believed. This state park features a naturally occurring "lazy river" of crystal clear water (72 degrees year-round!) that carries tubers at a rather steady pace through an untouched Florida landscape. Offers options for 2 and/or 4 hours of tubing facilitated with docks, tube rentals, tram pick-up service, and a very large gift shop/cafe. The park entrance fee is $6 per vehicle, but expect to pay about $30 per person for a full day of activities, lunch, and all the services.
No disposable items, alcohol, coolers, tobacco, or pets are allowed on the river. Drinks in a non-disposable drinking container are allowed.

This is a great town. Less than 30 minutes from the farm, High Springs provides outdoor outfitters, several good restaurants, and cute shops. High Springs is the closest hub for all of the first-magnitude (large swimming area) springs.

Publix in Alachua is your nearest hub for all the familiar brands, a massive craft beer selection, the best subs in Florida, and a number of outdoor supplies like firewood and inflatables for the river. If you're a Floridian, you know, but if you're visiting from out of state just know Publix is the grocery store favorite of the locals. It's one of the few real true perks of living here.

This grocery store, while small, still provides a number of gluten-free and non-dairy alternatives to all the staples and even some vegan options.
