Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Sassi di Matera

This was such a luxury. This cave house was just as described. It was the best shower, the best sleep, the best comfort I have had in my long tour of Italy. Daniella, the host, was so responsive and accomodating, making sure we had everything we needed. I'd recommend this space to anyone I know. If we are fortunate enough to visit this magical city again, this is the home I would choose.

This place is conveniently located and has got a beautiful rooftop which is perfect place to watch the sunrise. 3 bedrooms and 3 bathroom was big enough for 4 of us to stay very comfortably. recommend for group or family stay! host was always very responsive and let us leave the luggage earlier than check in time.

My time in Matera was great and Stefania's apartment was the perfect place to discover the city. in the middle of the old town of Matera, just below the cathedral, the apartment is close to many attractions but still not to the main axes. the apartment is super furnished and architecturally very exciting on two levels. The roof terrace is another highlight of the apartment. If the weather permits, you can enjoy time here very comfortably over the rooftops of the city. If I travel to Matera again, I'd love to come back here.

the location is the highlight of the very central accommodation in Matera, from there you can easily reach all the points of interest. The innkeeper is always ready to respond to requests. The only thing is the lack of a bidet, but in a house in the historic center it is also understandable.

Nice and clean apartment, quiet and very close to the stones. It's like the pictures. We did not meet Alessandro personally but in addition to having always responded immediately via message, he called us as soon as we arrived and provided us with both the contact of a guide and useful information about restaurants and more. Highly recommended!!! If I had to go back to Matera, I would go back right away

Absolutely fabulous location and lovely place to stay ! We were completely wowed by Matera in general and the location and views were incredible . Loved our stay and wished could stay longer …have made a promise to myself I will go back ! The apartment was truely beautiful and we appreciated the little touches of yoghurt cake and juice which we had on the balcony for breakfast before we left. Many Thanks !

a magnificent historic property fully modernized. immediate parking. perfectly centered and walkable everywhere, pharmacy, dentist, city hall and of course the Patisseries and fabulous restaurants. Fabi is a gracious and responsive host. I'll be back for certain.

we stayed for two nights, the house was super clean, equipped with everything we could need. Aldo was extremely kind, he gave us great tips for visiting Gravina. highly recommended!

I hesitate to share my review. It’s not like I need more people showing up to my place. Imma is simply the best. Period. Location is fabulous. Clean, comfortable with a formidable owner. This is my second stay here. I’ll be back unless one of you reading this review books it before me. Safe travels!

Very well located apartment close to the city center without being in the tourist center. we were able to park without problem on the street. we were like at home..with two bathrooms, luxury!

We were very happy with the Airbnb. Everything looked very stylish and even more beautiful than in the pictures. It was also very clean. The location is great too – you’re in the old town (Sassi) in just a few minutes, and most places are within easy walking distance. Only some bus stops are a bit more far away. Thank you as well for the kind notes and tips we received – they were really helpful! And one important thing to know: at the end of the stay, there’s a city tax of €2 per person per night for the first three nights. This is a regulation in Matera to help preserve the city. It’s completely understandable, but good to be aware of in advance. Thanks for everything!

The apartment was super clean and spacious! Marianna was always willing to help us with any of our questions and responded very quickly to everything we needed!

We had a great stay in Matera. Mikele and Nicola’s place is easy walking distance to Sassi, and to great restaurants. We’ve stayed in many airbnb and this was, without a doubt, the best equipped when everything you could need, including a plentiful assortment of food, coffee, tea, fruits and drinks. Check in was so easy - Mikele found free parking for us nearby and helped carry our suitcases up to the unit. He was friendly , helpful and proactive with restaurant recommendations. He showed us how to make coffee and provided a helpful tour of the unit. We’d stay there again in a heartbeat.

Nino was immediately professional and friendly. The house is a real gem, in a quiet condominium setting within walking distance of the center. Excellent possibility of a reserved parking space inside the condominium. Highly recommended hosts and apartment!

Great place to stay for a day trip to Matera. Just a short walk from great restaurants, shopping and the Sassi. Was perfect for us!

The 1er Grand Cru of airbnb. In Te Reo Maori has a word to describe care and hospitality, being manaakitanga. Pasquale has this with a strong commitment to his craft of hosting. He spent time orienting us with the area and provided a generous selection of local delicacies. An unobtrusive host with a meticulously appointed property. Pasquale's apartment is exactly as it appears in the ad. It's fantastic. It's ideal for visiting Matera without the problems of access to the center and we were very comfortable. It is important to note the information that appears in the apartment description: the kitchen is for preparing breakfast, as it is not equipped for cooking, although that is not a problem thanks to the gastronomic offer of Matera and its surroundings ;-) On the other hand, the underfloor heating is wonderful. Quiet and effective. We recommend the apartment 100% and hope to return in the future.

A pleasant stay in Luciano's apartment, the photos correspond to reality. Everything was clean, great for a family trip. Everything is modern, tastefully decorated, functional! It felt great with the kids. Luciano is welcoming, made the effort to speak French with us and gave us a small welcome gift. A great apartment with a great host! This property and host exceeded all our expectations. Very accurate website description. View and property beyond exceptional. Host very very helpful and available ... great recommendations and support [ie: travel, list area restaurants etc]. All and all, more than worth the amount of 'stairs'.
