Vacation rentals in Sauravatn

Had a really nice stay here on our last night in Iceland. I was very glad to find this place that would accommodate my family of 8 in this rural setting. Wanted to stay close to the national park, and there were not many options other than this. The place was better than I was expecting/pics led on. I was worried we would be cramped, but that was not the case. Other than one of the bedrooms, plenty of space. On that bedroom, I knew going in it would be tight based on pics. In spite of being a bit cramped, not a big deal. Slept fine in that room, and everyone in general slept fine. Main floor was roomier than i thought. Plenty of room in kitchen and other rooms for all. Kids loved the place. Not too far from murals and ocean. Only issue i had was no shampoo in the place. No idea if I knew that before and forgot or should have known it, but it surprised me. Not a big deal. I did not inquire about it either as I was in a hurry. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

The luxury villa was all we could ask for and more. The location is fantastic right across from Kerid crater and easy access to all the hot spots. The villa is nicely appointed with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. The bathroom was magnificent! My only advice would be to allow the outside motion light the ability to be shut off. We woke up at midnight both nights to see the northern lights but the lights out front kept coming on. Would be great if they could be shut off for optimal viewing. Otherwise everything was fantastic and I highly recommend this villa!!

This cabin is perfect! We got to cook a few nights which was nice to stay in during bad weather, it was private, very comfortable, and we got a glimpse of the northern nights one night. It’s also in a good base location and close to many sight seeing attractions. Rannveig was a wonderful host as well, she goes above and beyond making sure we were settled in and doing well. Wunderschönes Ferienhaus mit traumhafter Aussicht! Das Haus ist sehr gemütlich, modern eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Alles, was man braucht, ist da: eine sehr gut ausgestattete Küche, ein schöner Wohnbereich, geräumige Badezimmer und bequeme Betten. Besonders toll ist der Hot Pot und die Sauna mit tollem Blick auf die Berge und den Fjord. Wir haben uns völlig wohlgefühlt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Sehr empfehlenswert!

We had such a wonderful stay here - this is a cosy farm stay close enough to Reykjavík but far enough to have clear skies to see the Northern Lights if you’re lucky enough. We absolutely loved the kitchen, the coffee moccamaster and having access to a washing machine. A super warm, nicely decorated place and huge bed! Probably one of my favourite Airbnbs I’ve ever stayed in. Disa is super lovely and so is Bonzo the dog! Highly recommend to anyone travelling to Iceland ❤️

We had an amazing time at Geir’s family home! This was an incredible place to spend the new year and we would absolutely return! The location is perfect. We were able to walk outside the city lights a short distance to get an amazing view of the northern lights. A designated lookout is also a short car ride away. Plus, downtown Reykjavík is a short car or bus ride away! It could also be a good walk for those who like to hike.

Een fijn huis. Voelde als thuis. Gemakkelijke lokatie: dichtbij winkels en wegen op weg voor dagtochten. Een super host.

The house was beautiful and the views are to die for. Would absolutely stay here again! They were very responsive to all questions we had and even showed our son the horses to pet!
