Vacation rentals in Saxton

When I first looked at the pictures I couldn't believe it would be that beautiful. I was wrong. The property in the actual cabin are both fantastic. It was a three nights day and Greg and Sue made us comfortable and offered us full run of their fantastic surroundings.

Our stay at this air bnb was so peaceful and relaxing. The area was absolutely beautiful. House was exactly as described in the listing. During the week, many of the establishments/restaurants are closed. Our stay was Sunday through Thursday, so we had to travel only about 20-25 minutes for more options to eat out but pleasant and easy drives. Weather must’ve been pretty rainy the week prior to our stay, so the unpaved roads to the home were washed out and had some trees blocking roads. A super friendly neighbor helped us to navigate our way around and informed us of alternative roads to travel. Hosts were super easy to communicate with and answered any questions we had within the hour. This truly was a hidden gem of a place to stay. We would recommend this home to anyone wanting to just enjoy quality time together in a private and relaxing getaway.

The home was beautiful and clean. It was a short drive to town for supplies and to the lake for some fresh air. Our family loved the space to spread out for sleeping. Beds and bedding were so comfortable and the wooded setting was dark and peaceful, all of which made for restful sleep. The kids loved the game space in the basement- playing ping pong, air hockey, and on the PSII. The kitchen was wonderfully equipped for making family meals and the large dining table allowed for the 10 of us to eat together. All of this, plus we were able to enjoy all of this with our 2 dogs. Ellen was responsive to a couple of questions and needs, as well as understanding when an item was accidentally broken. The only concern was some additional rules that were not on the original listing, but were messaged a few weeks before our reservation.

I went for a weekend getaway, and this place did not disappoint. It's a beautiful, private spot—nice and cozy, with stunning views all around. The host provided clear directions before arrival, making check-in smooth and stress-free. The house rules were straightforward and reasonable, and communication from the host was outstanding—thoughtful, responsive, and genuinely caring. It was clear that a lot of time and attention went into every detail of the space, which made our stay even more special. We had a wonderful time, and I’ll definitely be recommending this place to others. Looking forward to coming back!

A lovely cabin, and lovely hosts! They hosted our family get together and is was an absolute pleasure. Everything was in great working order, and was possibly the best stocked AirBnB I have ever been to in terms of having everything we needed. The location was quiet and tucked in the woods but still easy to get to, and the hosts were very easy to communicate with. One of the least fussy short term rental experiences I have had. Our large family with kids and dogs felt right at home. We wouldn't hesitate for a minute to stay here again. Thank you!

Really liked the place. The upstairs bedroom is a bit of a challenge to not hit your head however. All was good. I may have lost some ear buds there.
