Hostel vacation rentals in Sea of Japan

Won and his wife were wonderful hosts. This was my first experience staying at a hostel. Fortunately, they were able to upgrade my room to a single occupancy at checkin. It didn’t feel like a hostel but a warm friendly-run extended family. They went out of their way to assist me, especially me being a single 58 yo female visiting Seoraksan to hike. Won even called a taxi for me at 3am in the morning and made sure I made it to airport on time! Talk about a five star service! Thank you Won and your wife for your warm and friendly hospitality! I hope to return soon.

Lovely hostel in a great spot less than a minutes walk away from a stunning view of Mount Fuji, breakfast was recommended at a cafe at check in for a great price and was lovely food in the morning. Very clean shared spaces and a lovely place to spend a night near the mountain! Would highly recommend

A nice accommodation, with a lot of equipment in the kitchen like fresh coffee, snacks etc. The check-in was very flexible and smooth. We were able to reserve a free parking space before checking in. Also the receptionist was very friendly and had a lot of good tips for restaurants and activities in the area. All in all a great and good value stay if you don’t want to spend too much!

I had a great stay and the room was very clean. The location was convenient, and Masahiro-san was friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Hakodate.

Everything was perfect!

Hiroko-san was very kind to us, and very helpful. She guided us to places to visit in Hokkaido, and picked us up on check-in and drove us to a convenient spot at check-out. Fantastic person and loved to stay here. Saludos desde Costa Rica.

I had dinner in Takamatsu on the day of my stay, so I checked in late, but the owner welcomed me happily. There was one 2-year-old child, but it was very nice to play with me. Thank you very much. I will stay again if I have the opportunity.

My stay at Tommy‘s hostel was super pleasant! The communication was clear from the beginning and I could even check in earlier than anticipated, which was very helpful. The room was very nice, the only thing is that the blinds were kind dirty (?) on the left corner which showed when you put them down. Apart from that everything was very clean and was vacuumed once a week, I even got my trashbags changed without having to ask. Tommy and his employees were always friendly and tried to help where they could. Another great aspect is the area Jongno which is close to bustling Ikseon-dong but I never had troubles sleeping because of loud noise. You can walk to Myeongdong or Gyeongbokgung Palace in 30 minutes or to the Gwangjang market in 20 minutes. Seoul station can also be reached in only 20 minutes by train which was super convenient. Overall this was a great choice as a solo female traveler. I really enjoyed my stay and wish Tommy and his team the best!

Close to Otsuka Station and the neighborhood is peaceful! There are many convenience stores nearby and the location is good. The shower and toilet are shared, but on the second floor, there was a men's shower room, a unisex shower room, and a women's shower room, and there were two sinks in two women's toilets! The shower is small, but it was clean and nice. The dryer seems to be in every room, and the room was in great condition!! However, hand towels regardless of the length of stay? It was a shame to give one sheet and one body towel. The refrigerator in the room also had good performance, and there were hangers. It was like a heater and an air conditioner, and it's no wonder it's dry because of the heater..! The room is an electronic door lock, and the host sends you instructions by text at 2 o'clock. I left my carrier in the space on the first floor before check-in, so anyway, it's good!

The host was so friendly and spoke great English! We are very happy we stayed here on our first night in Seoul, it was a great welcome to Korea

Quiet alley near not far off main road. Very clean accomodation, clean hallway, table fridge, i didnt feel lacking in the room at all. there's shared kitchen with snacks / instant coffees.. i felt like it can be a solid solo homebase for slow travelling. Despite first snow, strong chilling wind during my stay the hallway and room were very cozy and comfy. About the hallway lights on previous comments i saw most of the glass window above the door has been covered, i'm sensitive to light but i slept dark and well. there's GS combini nearby, tasty fried chicken, daiso and ediya n bus station across the street. i've found it easier to move around busan with bus so this is a nice plus. Host has been very helpful and accomodating, just asks and he'll try to help. I would consider this a very good bargain and was extremely satisfied with my stay. thank you very much for hosting me. cheers.

The interior and facilities are very clean, the toilet and bathroom are separate but shared and very clean. If I have a chance, I might choose this place again.

Great place to be. Common areas are outstanding, service from the staff and location is great. Super spacious bed for dormitory room. Definitely recommend it😄

A very good experience

Great place to stay, near to the subway and bus station, many places to go, response on time, clean and safety, I love it!

The place is well located, technically it is close to several tourist areas in addition to the price is good, so they offer, I also recommend it I think one of the managers speaks Spanish so you can easily communicate with the if English is not your first language.

The room matched the description/photo perfectly, I really enjoyed it. Full of amenities, the spaces were well maintained and clean and made you feel at home. Convenient location to visit Nara because it is within walking distance of major attractions and the station while maintaining a sheltered and quiet location away from tourist confusion and noise. Excellent breakfast service. Friendly and welcoming staff. I would definitely stay here again in the future!

The Matoi hostel was a great place to stay, it isn’t too far from Gunma Soja station but they also provide a shuttle bus to get you to the hostel. The staff were very helpful and friendly and gave pretty good recommendations. The hostel itself has a bar on the ground floor of which we got given 4 free drinks tickets which was a greatly appreciated bonus. Thanks for the stay 😁

Great place! Beautiful! Kind people! I want to go back!

Stayed here for 4 nights in the female dormitory. I loved the place, surrounded by green fields, mountains and it was quiet and had a great weather to walk around. It was a bit far from the station (Omi-Maiko Station) like 15-20 minutes walk. There are not a lot to do around, but it was easy to take the train to Nara and Kyoto. I loved the hostel, it had everything I need. It has a restaurant in the first floor. They do sell snacks/food in the reception. I recommend staying here if you like the countryside vibes.
