Cottage vacation rentals in Selwyn

This is a beautiful place to stay, right on the lake with an amazing view, and a friendly beaver right next door! Our highlights were the hot tub, the fire pit and kayaking on the lake. This spot would be amazing in the Summer. The house is clean and well set up, the 2 downstairs bedrooms are small but just fine for sleeping. There is plenty of room in the rest of the house.

Amazing, peaceful stay. We went as a couple without our kids and was a perfect place to decompress and reconnect. Aliya was very kind, responsive and forthcoming. She let us know ahead that because of the time of year it’s not exactly like the pictures. But we expected such. The house was in perfect shape. And very clean. They take very good care of it. Hot tub and sauna was nice to unwind and relax. The master and on suite was very nice and romantic. The beds were so comfortable. In town the local establishments were great and people were very kind. Exceptional customer service everywhere. Amazing trip in all ways. Thanks again Aliya.

Daniel gave a thorough intro message of specifics the day of on top of what was already so clearly laid out. The property was beautiful with access to so many activity options. House is clean and spacious. We spent a lot of time on the dock which had a great selection of furniture and sun/shade options. The beach is a close walk. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend and will likely be back to enjoy the space again!

Wonderful cottage, in a perfect location. Gorgeous and peaceful lake front, with a bon fire spot overlooking it. Everything was nearly brand new (appliances, large tv, hot tub, bbq) Kayaks were great to use to explore the Lake. Friendly general store 5 mins away. Amazing sunset. Foosball. Don’t hesitate.

The place was absolutely beautiful. Michelle gave very detailed instructions which helped. The hot tub and sauna was a bonus. Michelle responded to any questions very quickly and was very friendly. Gravenhurst is a cute little town, it has everything you need. I would love to stay again!

absolutely picture perfect cottage right on the lake. lots of bedrooms and living room space. couldn't ask for a better view from the hot tub. Heather was provided all the details to ensure check-in was smooth. Everything was organized and labeled so we didn't feel intimidated by the size of the place and was able to feel at home from the 1st day. we didn't bring our kids this time but would love to come back with little ones as there are gates to the deck/hot tub area + everything kids would need already in the house.

We had a wonderful 10-night stay! The house is even better than how it seems in the pictures. Right on the lake, with a wall of large windows facing the lake directly. Washroom has a big bathtub and another large window facing the lake. The balcony and dock are right outside. The house is very well-stocked, and has a fully functional kitchen (good enough for actually living there). Bryan and Pam were quickly responsive and kind, and also generously accommodated an extra request of ours. Neighbors are close, but the windows facing them have curtains, and it feels private. We can't wait to come again!

Greg’s place is incredible, we would all go back in a heartbeat! Greg is a great host, always responsive and he made sure we had great stay. The place itself is beautiful, has a lot amenities and it’s super cozy. Beds are very comfortable and every space clean and well taken care of. Definitely recommended.

Leah and Johnny's Guest House is a MUST stay if it is available during a trip to The County or anywhere close by! The location is amazing but the hosts offer such genuine kindness that you immediately feel like family. They went above and beyond with everything! This spot is a little slice of heaven on earth. We had a wonderful stay at Jonathan Cottage! The place was exceptionally clean and well-maintained. It came fully equipped with lots of appliances, making everything super convenient. The access to the property was smooth, and communication with the host was always prompt and helpful. We especially loved the newly rebuilt outdoor areas near the lake—perfect for relaxing and enjoying the view. The cottage itself is spacious, offering plenty of room for everyone to feel comfortable. Highly recommended!

Had an amazing experience with the property. They took care of the tiniest details to give us all the comfort possible. Lots of board games, snorkeling equipment, extra linens, towels, super clean home. It just made our weekend an amazing one. Definitely chooding the property again. South Bay Cottage is truly a perfect and lovely lake getaway. Drive off the main road and into your own private cove outfitted with everything you need for a wonderful stay. Once inside, the view of Lake Stoney can be seen through the large windows from anywhere in the main room. The sunsets and starry skies were so peaceful - and even though locals told us it was unusual - we actual had an amazing view of the Northern Lights! We loved that this cottage included all the linens we needed and lots of areas to get cozy and read a book - including the extra-special gazebo. While the kitchen area is small - it is well equipped with everything we needed. Close to great hikes (Petroglyph Provincial Park, High Falls at Eels Creek, Warsaw Caves, and many others.) Also great to explore the area's great golf courses, Wanderlight Alpaca walks (a must do), Peterborough Pete's hockey, Peterborough theatre, and amazing restaurants in Lakefield (Loon, Cassia, and more). Melissa was a wonderful host!

This stay was absolutely wonderful — everything we could possibly need had already been thoughtfully prepared. The space was spotless (not even a trace of dust!), warm, and welcoming. It's clear the hosts truly care about their guests' comfort. We felt completely at ease, even with our baby, and it genuinely felt like a home away from home. As we were leaving, we found ourselves waving at the cameras with heart signs — that's how grateful and happy we were. Truly a special place we'll never forget.

Our stay was perfect, chalet had everything you could ask for and more! We stayed for work so we didn’t get a chance to go to the beach, or play any of the ample board games, but the kitchen was wonderfully stocked and the shower had great water pressure! Could not have asked for a better stay!

From kayaking on the nearby lake, hiking scenic trails, to late-night board games and bonfires under the stars, every day was packed with activities we loved. Tammy was the sweetest, most helpful hist to my parents. I booked this place for their 1 year anniversary weekend and they were in love. She left them a cute note and got them a bottle of wine to celebrate. They loved the space so much and felt right at home and didn't want to leave. Tammy thank you SO much for your hospitality and taking such good care of my parents. They will absolutely be back!!

It's a very cute and peaceful place to stay. It's surrounded by lots of foliage to ensure privacy, and I love all the small touches around the place. I would definitely love to come back in the summertime to experience all the trails and conservation areas.

We had a fantastic three-day stay at a lovely cottage in Minden Hills, Ontario, to celebrate the New Year. From the moment we arrived, we were enchanted by the peaceful surroundings and the picturesque winter landscape. The cottage was cozy, spotlessly clean, and fully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable and memorable stay. One of the highlights of our experience was how responsive and helpful Paul was. Whenever we had questions or needed assistance, he was quick to reply and always made sure we had everything we needed. His attentiveness added a personal touch that truly elevated our trip. The location was perfect, offering both tranquility and access to nearby trails for winter walks. We spent our evenings relaxing by the fire and enjoying the quiet beauty of the snowy woods. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook delicious meals, and the thoughtful details throughout the cottage made us feel right at home. Thank you paul for everything - can’t wait to return

Mihaela's cottage was a lovely little place surrounded by trees. Despite its location deep down the cottage roads, it took less than 15 minutes to drive wherever we needed to go (Buckhorn, Bobcaygeon, Kawartha Highlands Signature Park). The cottage itself was comfortable and clean, but we especially enjoyed the lovely firepit and jacuzzi 😄 Mihaela was also a responsive and understanding host, leaving plenty of clear instructions and responding to questions in record time. Overall we had a great stay and I would happily recommend this cottage to others!

The cottage setting was spectacular! Quiet and peaceful with the amenities my group loves - big, comfortable common spaces, a large kitchen, and rooms for private, peaceful sleeping. The wood burning fireplace was a real treat.

Enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property, has everything you need. We stayed the week of valentines and couldn’t have asked for more. I could only imagine how perfect it would be in the summer with the water sports and many other amenities this property offers.
