John Day Chalet

The Chalet is 1000 ft. above the valley and town of John Day Oregon. Great view of the town and valley to the east and Canyon Mt. to the south. Completely outfitted and ready for you to move into and enjoy. It is a Classic High Desert Decor complete with horse shoes and deer showing up for visits.Thanks for the notice. And for your information and knowledge, All linens and towels etc are changed after each rental and all surfaces and faucets, knobs and handles are sterilized too.

High Desert Hideaway

Pets allowed inside if potty trained. Just a 5.3 miles from town. It is on the south side of Highway 20 east of Burns, you must go past Red Barn Road. There is red reflectors to help find the driveway at night. It’s a on a pivot that with permission and caution about buildings, pivot, equipment and the highway you may shoot ground squirrels and jack rabbits! There is a corral for horses and a kennel for dogs. It is centrally located for horse activities like cuttings, brandings.

Destination Dayville

Destination-Dayville. Fenced country Chalet located close to the quaint tree-lined town of Dayville. Open layout with room to relax and a kitchen to cook a meal after a long day of exploring the Painted Hills and John Day Fossil Beds or fishing the John Day River. Three fully equipped comfortable bdrms, one bathroom and laundry facilities. Large front covered patio, Corn-hole game, room to play in grassy side yard. Let your adventure continue in beautiful, scenic Eastern Oregon.

The Cawlfield House (Circa 1929)

The historic Cawlfield House was built by my grandfather in 1929. It has been beautifully restored with modern amenities and comforts. It has an updated Kitchen, Living, Dining, Bath, Office & two Bedrooms (1 plush queen bed down, 1 plush queen bed up & 1 trundle bed). Many of the furnishings came from Joanna Gaines collections. We've sincerely strived to consider your needs, including A/C. We'd love to host you! We are confident you'll enjoy the homes comforts and history!

The Outlook

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Located on a remote eastern Oregon cattle ranch. Wildlife viewing, star gazing at it's best. Winter months are snow shoeing, cross country skiing, or a good book by the fire. Beautiful views in all directions, and we are the only ranch in sight. The Sandhill Suite is a newly remodeled home conveniently located five miles east of Burns just off highway 20. This cozy two bedroom home was remodeled in early 2023 and has lots of amenities to offer. Its a great option for extended stays or a quick weekend getaway and sleeps up to four people. Dixie Creek Bungalows, a not so Tiny, Tiny Home

Dixie Creek Bungalows is located just a half a block from Historic downtown Prairie City. Walking distance from anything you may need while in town. We may not have a view but we have a great cozy environment inside and out for you to enjoy and relax in. Only 15 minutes from the Strawberries and John Day. A great spot when visiting the Painted Hills, Sumpter or just passing through to Joseph or Idaho.
