World Heritage Uphill Workout

We train on Matsubara-zaka, the famous uphill road leading to Kiyomizu-dera Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This is not a sightseeing run. It is a structured hill-repeat session designed to improve running strength, speed endurance, and marathon performance. The course is approximately 1.1 km round trip with a challenging climb. Participants run at their own pace, so both intermediate and advanced runners are welcome. You will run through one of Kyoto's most iconic historic districts.
