“I've been recommending this spot to everyone I know since spending a beautiful, relaxing, cozy Thanksgiving long weekend! My husband and I were in the area to do some shopping in Grande Prairie and we were thrilled to have the opportunity to stay on a petting farm. The animals were hands down THE friendliest animals I've ever seen in a petting zoo!! It's clear they're very well-loved and Shane was so easy-going about us visiting the animals whenever we wanted, providing us bread to feed them, and letting them wander around to visit us at the cabin. It really is a dream for any animal lover. The cabin was a perfect size for my husband and I - we watched the sunrise and greeted the animals in the morning, ran errands in Grande Prairie during the day, and spent the evenings cuddled up in front of the woodstove watching scary movies. Definitely check out Shane's house, which he built himself and has so many unique touches. He was so welcoming, we could walk right into his home to use the washroom or the shower. We mostly used the outhouse by the cabin though, because it was closer and really one of the nicest we've ever seen! The cabin is thoughtfully appointed with a miniature fridge, microwave, tv and dvd player, wood for the woodstove, and plenty of games and dvds. The view is beautiful, as the farm is perched on a hill. My husband and I were thrilled with the farm, I'm sure children would be absolutely over the moon! I highly recommend this little spot off the beaten path for folks wanting a little getaway with a unique twist!”
