“One word for the place—AMAZING! Sunset views from the fire pit and balcony areas are a must. Excellent communication from the host and the others on the property are super kind and hospitable as well. The place is beyond worth the money for the views alone and is sparkling clean. We didn’t get a chance to kayak this time as we were distracted by getting into Erie island shenanigans, but we look forward to getting that chance in a future stay someday. We were offered to utilize kayaks on the property if we were interested, which was another thoughtful and generous perk to the property. We will definitely be staying again in the future. Thanks for being great hosts!”
Beautiful view of Lake Erie from most rooms of this charming home. The home was built in 1911 with many updates, A cottage feel with all the amenities. The décor is a mixture of antiques and art, sort of shabby chic. I also provide coffee for you. The Backyard has a patio, bbq grill, wood swing and of course the lake view. Sunroom has full view of lake. All. Bedrooms are upstairs. . Great neighbors who will help you with anything questions. There is a pier and marina in walking distance.
“wow! Photos do not do this property justice. Very clean and welcoming. The backyard lined with flowers and the beautiful lake view (& sounds) were an unexpected plus! Breakfast on the upstairs balcony will be a lifelong memory. We wish we could stay longer!”

“Dr. Alice’s home made a relaxed and wonderful stay for me and my golden retriever for a night on our trip across the country. The house is on beautiful, spacious grounds and we (the dog and I) were able to spend part of our evening and the following morning eating and enjoying the large back porch and beautiful yard. My room, room 2, was clean and spacious and gracious, and I slept great in the firm bed. There is one bathroom upstairs for the four guest rooms, just as an FYI. The house is home to five family members, lots of little dogs ( I counted five while I was there), a couple of cats and some squawking parrot-type birds — all of which was in the description. So there is a relaxed, pet-friendly, slightly noisy vibe to the place. If people need an always-quiet respite, the activity level here might be a little problematic. But I enjoyed the liveliness. It certainly is lived in, with lots of coming and going. But all is blissfully quiet after about 9 pm., which was perfect. The house is in an older part of Elyria just a few blocks from the downtown. It’s on a nice quiet street perfect for walking the dog. And the price is a bargain.”
