Casa do Adro, is an excellent choice for a stay in tranquility, in a place in communion with nature ... In a house with excellent conditions.
“If you’re looking for a nice and tranquil place to stay in a typical Portuguese house you should definitely go to stay at Tiagos house. He and and his family are outstanding hosts and they make you feel super welcome. The house is super clean and they also provides a crib for our baby. What really took the hospitality to the next level was the home made welcome food from Tiagos family that they prepared for us. All in all: Outstanding accommodation, totally recommended! Thanks Tiago!”
Three schist houses being restored at the village of Cunqueiros, in the municipality of Proença-a-Nova, form the Casas da Encosta project. Here it’s possible to relive the life history and culture of the region’s people in the comfort of a typical Portuguese village. According to the owner, Nuno Caldeira, the houses are being restored following the local construction tradition where schist, clay and wood are featured. One of them, Casa da Lagariça, has already opened.
“House very well located, with a rustic touch by the combination of contemporary motifs and ethnographic pieces. It has all the necessary amenities to make our stay comfortable, as if we were in our own home. There is plenty to explore in the immediate vicinity of the accommodation, river beaches, walking paths, gastronomy, among other reasons of interest. The hosts were the best, I highlight the personal service, friendliness and attention.”
