“We LOVED our stay here! We stayed 2 nights in Serrana villa and 2 nights in Saba and loved them both. This villa is so cozy and private. Here are a few things about our stay: Host: Janus will take care of anything you need. ANYTHING! Janus is so responsive answering questions and he has connections for everything - tours, chauffeurs, chef, etc. He will definitely go out of his way to make sure your stay is exceptional! Janus greeted us when we arrived and also before we checked out. We were so sad to leave. Location: Soufriere is hands down the best part of the island! I am so glad we stayed here for the majority of our vacation. It is definitely the most beautiful part of the island and is where most of the things to see and do are. We drove all the way up to the north side of the island and saw where the cruise ships come in, where the Sandals resorts are, etc. and I would not recommend staying up there. If you’re reading this, do yourself a favor and stay near Soufriere instead and book one (or two) of Janus’s places. You'd be able to walk from here to town, although having a rental car makes things easier. We felt very safe, both at the villa and around town. Villa & Amenities: We were just two people, but it could easily accommodate four. Both bedrooms and bathrooms are very nice. We only used the air conditioner at night to cool it down a bit and get the humidity out for sleeping, but otherwise we enjoyed the warm open air feel of the villa. Wifi was good and the kitchen had everything we needed. Roads/Driving: We are from the United States so drive on the opposite side of the road. The roads are bumpy and steep in some places, but nothing that can’t be navigated, so don’t let the roads deter you from renting a car. We are so glad we had a car! We did not have cell phone service in St. Lucia but I had downloaded the offline map and we used that for navigation, which worked quite well. We did use the chauffeur service (Janus lined this up) one evening though to go out for a nice meal, as we did not want to drive back that far in the dark. Highly recommend this service as well! Honestly, before booking this villa, when I was reading reviews for all of Janus’s villas, I was thinking that these places couldn’t possibly be so good, at such an affordable price. Everything in the reviews is true and the photos are very accurate. Thanks for the incredible stay, Janus! You provided us with a very memorable trip to St. Lucia and we are so lucky to have celebrated our 20th anniversary here.”
Built by John DiPol, designer of the world-famous Ladera resort, Villa Piton elaborates on the open-aired concept toward a stunning culmination in a refined experience of the Island's natural splendor; and all while cultivating intimate privacy.
“If you haven't been to St. Lucia and are considering a visit, then you should stay at Kermit's place, Villa Piton. We toured almost the entire island and the view from the living room (yes, living room), is THE BEST on the entire island. The pitons are a staple of St. Lucia and you're literally sitting between them with a crazy view. Two of the most amazing resorts, Ladera and Sugar Beach are super close, and can easily be visited for a day at the beach or a meal. We rented a car and we're glad we did. Although, driving in St. Lucia is extremely interesting. We live in the US, so we're used to right-side driving. Driving on the left side was different and the terrain is nuts. It had lots of hills, turns, rocks, bridges, and interesting roads. This was challenging and fun for me, not so much for my wife. :) We're glad we had a car because it gave us some more flexibility during the visit. We were able to visit Soufriere twice and the other resorts as well. While Sugar Beach is in walking distance per se, its probably 1000 feet virtually straight downhill to the beach. We drove and found parking at the bottom, then walked to the beach. Reviews of sugar beach talked about issues at the resort, but we didn't have any. The chairs are $50/chair/day and it was worth it. We had 7 and grabbed 4 chairs. We had decent service and the watersports were very reasonable. We snorkeled all day for $12 each. Not bad. 4 of our kids rode the tube for $20 each. Definitely make time to visit Sugar Beach. We did make the trip up north on one of the days. We're glad we checked it out, but be prepared for a very long day. The drive is also pretty nuts. It took over 2 hours and there is not too many straightaways. There were lots of curves and hills etc.. Our youngest kid threw up during the drive as he got car sick. We did spend time on Reduit Beach which was nice. There is a water park type place 50 yards from the ocean and our kids did 2 hours there, which helped burn some energy. We stopped at Spinnakers on Reduit and it was decent. St. Lucian folks move at their own pace, so be patient, you won't get NYC type service there. We did the welcome dinner with Mary and the team and it was phenomenal. She made chicken, fish, rice, salad and mac n cheese. All 7 of us enjoyed it thoroughly. The second night, she did lobster and Mahi Mahi, again awesome. She cleaned up afterward as well. The view during dinner is so good. Mary took care of everything and is a very happy lady and does a great job with everything. Marcus is the property caretaker and was super supportive and Greg came by every day to take care of the pool. All were super nice and hospitable. Finally, Kermit is the best in the business. I use AIRBNB for work and have stayed in more than 100 places. His commitment to you having a successful vacation is top-notch. His response time is fast and thorough. No question went unanswered. We're super pleased we chose Villa Piton and can't wait to come back.”

“On Friday March 27, 2020 at 10am I was the only guest at the hotel I had been in for the previous week. They were closing up. At around That same time, my airline alerted me that my flight for that day back to US was cancelled. No alternatives offered. So I had like 1 hour to find a place to stay in nearby Soufriere. I saw Mora’s place on Airbnb, she contacted me back immediately with a yes, and met me at the property a few hours after that. For her to have been soooo responsive during a crisis in her country and the world was simply amazing. I suspect some other hosts did not want the responsibility of managing a stranger in their property, or of becoming infected by someone from US😒. And I don’t blame them! I’m just so grateful that Mora did not hesitate in welcoming Me in her home. She offered to get me some groceries that first day and I took her up on that generous offer. I didn’t know the town at all. A few days later, with zero warning, the country of St Lucia went into complete lockdown. Everything closed... airports, port ports, groceries, pharmacies, beaches, everything! The Prime Minister made a hard choice and reminded us all that even if we didn’t have much food in the house, we could ration and as long as we had water no one would starve! And he was right! A week later the grocery store opened again for limited hours. Mora again offered to stock me up. She got on line at 6am and didn’t get into the store until ~ 10:30am. And she got me everything I asked for! She of course was also shopping for herself but she still had to add on carrying my bags too. She responded to any dumb question I had within like 3 minutes, always. She is so smart and nice. If I didn’t have a medical condition that requires specialty medications I felt I could have rode The crisis out there if I had to. Mora helped me be safe, feel comfortable, and was always lovely and gracious. Oh and the apartment has a gorgeous view!! I’ll post pics if the website allows. The bedroom was gloriously air conditioned, and the kitchen nicely set up with gas oven and burners! The location was perfect for me... it wasn’t dead center of town but it was only a 5 minute walk to everything in town. I only utilized mini marts and little side street bakeries as everything else was closed, but it looked like it would be fun! Oh and that view! I am sorry this is so long winded but I feel so so grateful for Mora. She is an Angel and her apartment is awesome. Rent this place!”
