There is a walking trail behind the house that goes to the city park that has a playground, skate park, basketball courts, volleyball courts, softball fields, and a splash park in the summer.
“Mickey's place was great. Check in was easy, the bed was comfortable, and the location is great. I absolutely recommend it and I'll be staying here again whenever I'm in the area.”
Our cozy log home has an open living space with lots of windows in an oak forest. The living/dining/kitchen has a wood buring stove and opens up to a porch and outdoor fireplace. The 2nd bedroom is in the loft, the 3rd in the walk out basement.
“I had a wonderful month stay during April. The house is in an idyllic setting in a wooded area but close to the downtown and nearby stores. I spent a lot of time on the porch swing which was so relaxing. It was chilly while I was there and it was fun to make an indoor fire. (Tip: get some kindling from Home Depot.) The bathroom was lovely! The house was spotless when I arrived. Check-in was easy - a friend of theirs greeted me and helped me with my bags. The fresh flowers were a nice touch! Kaye and Ken were responsive, gracious, and kind hosts. I would have liked a little more detail in the listing about the amenities. The kitchen is pretty basic, which was fine, but I would have liked to know ahead of time. The wifi signal was weak, so I struggled with some basic navigation and watching video was out. I ended up going to the nearby library for some video calls I needed to make. Some things I got used to were the insects that naturally are going to be in a wooded area as well as the difficulty in adjusting the house temperature with extreme weather or quick changes in weather. (Maybe a space heater would be a nice add?) Overall, this was a wonderful experience and I would recommend this home!”

“Firstly I'd like to state that Jill was an absolute gracious host. She was extremely kind and considerate to the circumstances I was in town for. She checked in with me more than once about my where abouts, since I would be an odd hour check in, to make sure I wasn't lost or if I needed help. The place is quaint and homey, really makes you feel like you haven't left home. Jill is funny and friendly and makes you feel like your an old friend stopping by for a visit. I was pleasantly surprised with the amenities provided, there were pleanty of refreshments and even some ice cream bars for our sweet tooth. 😊 The room was clean, and packed with creature comforts, fresh towels, blankets, chairs and even a sofa to chillax in. If I were ever in the area again I would definitely pay Jill another visit. Should you find yourself in Aurora, this is the place to be.”
