Sonja accommodation is great value, Blönduós is a beautiful place and her accommodation is also very nice, the facilities are modern and clean and there is lot’s of space to relax and read, Sonja also very kindly let me have breakfast at 5.30am in the morning as I needed an early start on the morning of my stay, also provided are traditional Icelandic slippers that I thought were very cool.

I think that overall the room I stayed in was good and comfortable, the shared facilities were clean and ample, and Jon was kind and generous towards me. However, when you pay a 100 euros almost for a small room, you expect it to be totally clean (at least I do). There were dead flies on the floor, I guess from the former season. It wasn't terrible, but I think that that the respectful thing to do is to at least check the room before your guest arrive and spend a minute sweeping it. I am sure it will be better the next time, so I can recommend the place.

Mi sono trovata bene qui da Karuna Guesthouse. Il complesso ha una hall molto bella e spaziosa. La camera aveva anche un piccolo lavandino dentro. L'unica cosa è che forse la cucina è un po' piccola per tutte le camere che può ospitare: per questo è consigliabile cucinare piatti con preparazioni veloci. Ultima cosa, forse l'ingresso per entrare all'interno dell'edificio è solo poco segnalato, ma niente di grave.

Clean place to spend the night.

A cabin in a beautiful location, surrounded by snow capped mountains, fields and the beach nearby. Woke up to sheep and horses in the distance. The cabins are cosy, very private. It is a great area to walk about. The nearest town is Saudarkrokur, which is about 15 minutes away Our highlight was the never ending display of the northern lights which we could see from our front patio and even our rooms. It went on for hours!

We rented one of the Gladheimar cottages for our brief stay at Blonduos as we were doing clock-wise on the ring road. We were swept away by the beautiful Blanda river nearby. The stay was perfect for our group of 8 including small children. Larus was very cooperative and helpful during our check-in. However, we had to do a local call during check-in, so be prepared to make an international call if you are visiting. Larus met us near the cottage and made sure the rooms were clean and thorough. We really enjoyed the outdoor hot tub that offered the much-needed relaxation after the tiring drive. Overall, the stay was pleasant, and relaxing. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a memorable and inviting stay.

Très bel endroit avec de hôtes très accueillants. Chambre très confortable, très bonne literie et petit salon bien appréciable avec tout le nécessaire. Nous avons pu avoir accès à la cuisine, et salle de bains partagée, mais sans que cela pose problème. Bien situé car sur la route 1. Nous avons pu aller voir les chevaux, merci encore. Je recommande.

This Airbnb is unique and very cozy. The view and surroundings are beautiful. The host was very responsive and even escorted us to the Airbnb when we had the wrong address. Highly recommend!
