Why locals recommend it

As soon as you pass through the gates here, you’ll feel an immediate energy shift. Located in the bustling CBD, it’s bordered on one side by towering skyscrapers and on the other by the harbour’s glistening waters and offers 30 hectares of manicured gardens for meditation and contemplation. To find a spot away from the city’s lunchtime joggers, you’ll need to walk deep into the garden away from the city. Down by the herb garden you can find a comfortable chair and a quiet nook, and you can meditate while surrounded by great-smelling herbs.

Beautiful Parklands with perfect city and water views. Have a wander and visit the ABC pool or the National Art Gellery in the park

We love a good plant curation, and this is plant curation at it's best. Take in the sights and be inspired by the lovingly cared for gardens.

If you want to see some of Australia’s nature without leaving Sydney, Botanic Gardens is definitely the place to go. It is in CBD and can be combined with your visit to Sydney Opera House.

Beautiful winding walks available in the sprawling Royal Botanical Gardens. You'll easily stumble across gigantic Flying Foxes and flocks of cockatoos. Ibises abound (our locally nicknamed "Bin Chicken"). Great views of the opera house and harbour as well. Keep your eye out for the famous Australian spiders as well, usually with their large webs strung amongst the plants.
