“Also known by locals as El Charco. It's an old marina with numerous restaurants along the waterfront. Beautiful scenery. Very vibrant scene of locals, all times of day and night. The main cinema is also located there.”

Surf Spot
“Famara was recently voted one of the five best beaches of Spain. The beach is especially well-suited for surfing. I learned how to surf here a few years ago and there are a lots of surf schools here (if you're in Playa Blanca, try "Kaboti" - they are great people and teachers and they take you from Playa Blanca in the morning and bring you back in the afternoon). I would only come here for swimming if there are no clouds, otherwise it gets quite cold. Also, be aware of the strong currents.”
