Why locals recommend it

During the early and mid-1900s, Issei Hatakeyama was a well-known businessman and connoisseur of the arts, especially the Japanese tea ceremony. This museum shows off the tea bowls and other tea ceremony-related equipment he amassed during his lifetime. It’s a refined space where you can see one-of-a-kind antiques that are centuries old. Outside of the main building is a lush, beautiful forest area that is out of character for such a bustling metropolis. Within that is a traditional tea house where they sometimes hold exhibitions. It’s where I first met a marvelously talented ceramist I’d been studying for some time.
