A beautiful short hike showcasing Tufa, a unique geological formation just north of Calgary. If you have kids bring boots if you have them so they can walk through the shallow streams. 37 min drive to NW.

Perfect place for a family to go for a 1-2 hour hike, close to Cochrane. It has a fun shaded water area which is children's favourite place to go on a hot day.

If you have a car this is a great place an afternoon. There are some picnic tables close to the parking lot but further in there is genuinely beautiful and epic landscape. I created a treasure-hunt map of this park for a birthday suprise because it has so many magical areas: numerous springs and waterfalls, tipi forests, fairy lagoons, the ruins of an old creamery, dense bramble tunnels, and the list goes on. It's one of our favourite hidden parks in Alberta.

This is a great park to visit anytime of year...a photographer's paradise. Beautiful waterfalls flow year round. This is a short hike that is great even for the little ones.
