Off the beaten path if you’re staying in North Chattanooga, but this is our favorite locally owned restaurant. Views of the TN River. Food value is great bang for the buck. Try one of the nightly specials!!

A bit of a drive but I LOVE this place. Great food and a full bar. Ask for a "Dark Knight" named after your host. They are closed on Mondays. Happy Hour is 5-6pm and they have excellent Mahi tacos and Lakeshore fries.

Park
“Harrison Bay State Park is a 1,200 acre park with approximately 40 miles of Chickamauga Lake shoreline, and was originally developed as a Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) recreation area in the 1930s. Its name is derived from a large bay at the main channel of the Tennessee River that covers the old town of Harrison, and the last Cherokee Campground. The parklands are historically significant because the Cherokee Campground consisted of three villages which were ruled by one of the last great Cherokee Chieftains. Harrison Bay became the first Tennessee State Park in 1937. This beautiful wooded park is a haven for campers, golfers, boaters and fishermen, as well as picnickers and other day-use visitors from Chattanooga and the surrounding tri-state area. It has one of the most complete marina facilities available on any of the TVA lakes and all types of boats and water recreation vehicles are allowed at the park.”

“Run. Hike. MTB Enterprise is one of our favorites. It’s located right next to the VW car plant and has miles upon miles of fun, very well marked trails. It can be crowded from time to time, but usually the MTB trails are spaced out enough, it’s no issue. This is a perfect place to hike and run for as long as you would like. You can connect onto multiple trail loops. The MTB trail system here is wonderful and is a nice spot for all skill levels. There are four main dedicated MTB trails at enterprise, each with its own character and Style. This park is not as hilly as stringers, but you can still find some good climbs along the way. To be honest, you’re in Chattanooga – no trail here doesn’t have a feel good climbs… - Distance from basecamp: 18 minute drive - Address for trail head: Type in “Enterprise South nature Park” There is only one entrance into enterprise.”
