Salangsverket is the witness of an iron ore adventure, and a witness of Salangen's golden age. At the start of the 20th century, there was built large structures and employed thousands of men to extract iron ore, but it didn't take many years before the adventure was over, as it turned out not to be profitable. Salangsverket is open to the public year round. South-Troms Museum offers guided tours.
