Sheldon Marsh is a 472 acre wetlands preserve 12 miles from the cottage, and features an easy one mile, out-and-back trail, that ends at the beach on Lake Erie. It is a hugely popular destination for birders, especially during migration.

Explore nature. Great for bird watching. turtles and snakes can often be seen sunning themselves along the water’s edges and on rocks and branches. The squirrels aren’t shy. You can walk the mile or so to get to the natural beach on Lake Erie.

Take a walk thru Sheldon's Marsh, beautiful walk on paved road down to Lake Erie. Great place to enjoy family time, bird watch or take great pictures. Don't forget your camera.
