Why locals recommend it

My go-to when I have a hankering for classic Persian cuisine—kabobs, stews, and rice—and want leftovers to take home. It’s a great place for a long, leisurely lunch or a nice dinner in a refined atmosphere with linen tablecloths, low lighting, and a glass of wine to complement the food. Ask for a sampling of small portions of their stews so you can try out more than one—and be sure to get rice to go with them.

Persian food in NY leaves much to be desired but this is by far the best of slim pickings. Brave the terrible service and even worse stews for tasty kebab and rice

Kebabs & grilled meat plates plus salads & rice dishes are modestly priced at this laid back eatery. 11 E 30th St

Best Persian restaurant on the upper east side. Great service and if you have never tried Iranian food before its a great place to start.
