Tips from locals
Boutique watering hole with pan-historical decor offering an extensive beer and cocktail menu.
Very quirky cocktail lounge and a firm favourite of ours. Bookings advisable, but you should be OK if turning up and prepared to share a table or wait.
The city’s best-kept secret with an eclectic interior and quirky personality. We recommend trying out something from their own menu - they have great spins on old classics like their unique latte-tini or opium English garden cocktail. Hint: Before 9 pm they are only £5!
A Quirky cocktail experience, opium is tucked away in the vault under Grove Street. The interior, a combination of periods to Victoriana to Bohemian Louis IV, feels hidden, intimate and quirky and almost reminiscent of a chic bar you could find on the streets of Paris.
