The Lakes has a lot of high price upmarket restaurants and many of them are excellent. This one is special because the food is fantastic and the bill is reasonable considering how good the cooking is. The restaurant is in the building that housed the official stamp distribution office that the poet William Wordsworth ran.

We have been wanting to eat here for ages after hearing some great things from friends and family. For a very special birthday we have just recently been and were blown away by the tasting menu based around local produce. After winning a Michelin star and TripAdvisors best restaurant in the world 2021 reservations have to be made well in advance but if you really want to spoil yourself or loved one this is the place to do it.
