On your way to Cape Hillsbourough Beach / Resort make sure you stop and eat at this place. It's an iconic old Australian Railway station that has been converted into a cafe surrounded by beautiful gardens. Michelle and Dwyane own and run the property and they are truly lovely people to meet. Make sure you tell them Amanda says hello! :) As for the food, they make everything from raw ingredients so it's always divine. They also have wood fired pizza's which is pretty rare in the Mackay region.

The Tea House is known for Devonshire teas and their wood fired pizzas for lunch. It is located on Cape Hillsborough road just past the Ball Bay turn off.

Wonderful scones, morning teas and other fare, so scrumptious! Lovely outing 30 min drive from Mackay, on way to Cape Hillsborough. See the rescued birdlife in observation enclosures.
