•Ras Abu Gallum (20mins by boat from Blue Hole or 2-hour hike from Blue Hole) - The starkly beautiful Ras Abu Gallum Protectorate covers 400 sq km of coastline between Dahab and Nuweiba, mixing coastal mountains, narrow valleys, sand dunes and fine-gravel beaches with several diving and snorkelling sites.

It’s a beautiful place if you’re looking to spend some very quiet and chilled time, very peaceful and simple

Visit Abu Galoom on a day or overnight trip. Outside of Dahab, camps in Abu Galoom offer simple living with fantastic views of the mountains and sea, in addition to opportunities to snorkel among the Red Sea fish. Egyptian food is offered in the camps, so you don’t need to worry about going hungry! To get there, you can either take a taxi to Blue Hole followed by a boat, or walk to Abu Galoom on foot. I’d recommend taking a taxi to Blue Hole and start walking from there to avoid the main road.
