The San Carlos Library is a nice, quiet, air-conditioned place to go on a hot day. Hours Sun 1-5, Mon 10-9, Tue 10-9, Wed 10-9, Thu 10-6, Fri 10-6, Sat 10-5. 11-minute walk.

“Sneakers is our favorite local restaurant. American food, large portions, TVs. A pub, but very kid-friendly. Locally owned. All the local families go here. A nice 15-minute walk. Indoor and outdoor seating. NOTE: Airbnb's address for Sneakers is out of date. The correct address is 650 Laurel St.”
