Bryce Canyon Park was formed by the erosion of wind, water and ice over thousands of years and the sedimentary rocks of the lake bed. Many stalagmites were formed during the Cretaceous Period. Red, orange and white rocks are brightly colored and are known as the palace of natural terracotta figures.
