Park
“Winslow Park is a campground, but it’s way more than that. Most visitors pass right by it due to its campground sign, but you will be missing out if you don’t go. There is a small entrance fee. When you pull in, directly across from the small beach you can pick up one of our favorite trails. It swirls you around by the water, and ends at a little point of land that will give you one of Freeport’s most beautiful views. When the trail ends, just head up and walk across the grass to the point at the end by the water. There is a big dock as well, and access down to the rocky beach below. If you don’t want to talk a big walk, still head to Winslow! Grab a picnic lunch or dinner before you go! When you drive in to Winslow, turn right after the beach. That whole area, all along the waterfront, is for day use visitors. Pull up your car by any picnic table, and have an amazing waterfront meal. :) Take a walk along the water’s edge, and you’ll find lots of stair-access points down to the water. ”
