Tips from locals
Waterfront park created as an appeasement for the violent expulsion of Chinese residents in 1885.
This is a great little spot away from the bustle of Ruston Way. As is Jack Hyde Park right next door. Grab a picnic lunch from Northern fish and stroll away from the crowds to this tiny oasis. A great history lesson also.
To prevent us ever making these horrible mistakes again, we must remember and learn from our own histories.
