Loup Loup is a affordable and fun place to ski. There is also a tubing run for families.

A 40-minute drive from the guesthouse, this family-friendly ski area is a non-profit that was saved from bankruptcy by a very motivated group of locals, led by my dad, Richard Thomason. I grew up skiing this hill, and have every inch of it memorized. The lodge is very basic and rustic, but I've been coming here with my kids for many years. Bring a sled for the babies to tow around and watch your older kids ski the poma or the big hill! Incredible views of the Methow valley, and lots of locals to talk to. Be sure to stop at Loup Loup Ski Shop downtown Twisp for your rentals before you head up the hill. Owner Ron Mackie is a Loup Loup veteran and he will treat you right! Tell him Amber sent you. :)
