My dad’s old house is behind this pub, we have many happy memories there and a few sad ones too, teenage tantrums, sorry. Did you work hard in school? Did it pay off? Most recently their daughter aged 53 from a heart attack. My dad was crying when he was talking about her and he knows her dad well, he was at school with him. Standing room only in the church, upstairs was open too. There’s a queue waiting outside the pub for it to open. Some quiet reflection time needed this afternoon. I didn’t know her well, but I did recognise her and know her name.
