Distance 5 minute walk. Reykjavíks biggest natural park, this is where the locals go for a bit of nature in the city, to cycle, horse ride or just for a walk. It is a park along a river running down the valley, with waterfalls, trees, wild rabbits and bird life.

Elliðaárdalur Valley is a lush recreational area popular with walkers and cyclists alike. The river runs through the valley, surrounded by a forest. It is a lovely place to go for a picnic!

This is our favorite spot in Reykjavík. Have a picknick and enjoy a swim in the river og better yet, take the Viking Challenge and jump down the 2m high waterfall into the chilly water :)
