The mountain is near by and great for long walks, biking, cross-country skiing. On sunny sundays during summer (were their is the big statue) on parc avenue people gather around with drums and it had a "hippie" ambiance.
The famed park avenue. Little fruit stands, cafes and ethnic eateries dot the street that leads to the mountain and if followed is an excellent walk to downtown montreal.
