In the summer, its a great place to be, but get there early or you may have to park far away, but usually it's not too bad. You can also go later in the day like 5pm and still get a swim in. Walk the dogs around the lake too. or go in the off season for a walk around the lake and just experience…
Big open lawn for picnics family and games. Trails for hiking around the lake or deep up into Tilden Regional Park. Swimming in the lake!
Hidden in the Berkeley Hills, this place is a wonderful to take a dip in on a hot summer day. Its free to swim in on the non-beach side and $5/pp to enter on the beach side to swim. Toilets and food is available on site during the summer.
