Wood-panelled 16th-century country pub/restaurant with a dovecote in the garden and a British menu. Not the best food around but worth a visit for the building and garden.
A short stroll across the green and you'll find Hangleton Manor - lovely large walled garden, and a big food menu.

“Stoneham Park is one of the nearest parks to us - only about 5-10 minute stroll. A cosy small local park with a good playground for kids, as well as basketball court. The cafe which was great seems to be closed since the last lockdown - there is however a small bakery next to the park called Stoneham Bakehouse (open Thurs 10am-1pm & Sat 10am-1pm) that does good bagels and cinnamon rolls or a cafe close by called 44 Poets.”
