Tips from locals
Tucked away on a lane behind IMMA, you’d practically need Google Maps to find it. So perhaps that’s why it’s rarely mentioned in the same breath as Dublin’s other venerable pubs – the Gravediggers, Mulligans, the Long Hall. But the Royal Oak has charm to match any of them.
This is a tiny little pub, hidden on Kilmainham Lane. Pop in for a quite pint of Guinness after sightseeing all day. Lovely spot.
This is one of my favourite pubs in Dublin - it's tiny, full of locals, close to IMMA and the Guinness alays tastes good. Great in summer for outside pints or winter by the fire.
