Why locals recommend it
One of the most romantic gardens in all of Paris, set in a leafy courtyard on rue Chaptal. It’s part of an old mansion, now a museum, where writer George Sand and painter Ary Scheffer once lived. Find a bench under one the large centenary trees and let your mind wander. Set in a greenhouse, the museum’s tea café is a very peaceful place and unknown to many Parisians. I like to stop in for a hot cup of tea to calm the mind before heading to the garden. Set in a greenhouse, the museum’s tea café is a very peaceful place, and unknown to many Parisians.
