Tips from locals

Montparnasse boulevard has the most cinemas per m² in the country. Les Sept Parnassiens is my favorite cinema for independant movies.

The rue Delambre is a great shopping street where you'll find a good butcher, bakery, cheese shop, fish monger and green grocers. Also a couple of smaller grocery stores: Super U and Franprix.

Lots of restaurants and cafés on this street. Every Sunday, you can also find a famous French market right on this street!

You can find in that street: a laundry, a wine shop, a cheeses shop, the Dôme fish shop, a bank.

“Join locals for a supper of nicely upscaled bistro dishes in a comfortably vintage, "Paris the way it's always been" setting. I have happy memories of a creamy chilled broccoli soup & braised beef.”

“Paris' premier organic open air market & my favorite source for fruits, vegetables and cheeses for Sunday brunch. Arrive by 10 to enjoy mixing with Parisians before tourists crowd the alleyways!”

Art Museum
“I often visit the Jardin du Luxembourg to reflect and create. Frequently, I also find myself visiting the nearby former studio of Russian-born artist Ossip Zadkine, whose work is a dialogue between wood, stone, cement, and earth. Visitors are able to do something peculiar at this museum: touch the artwork! Ossip Zadkine wanted the visually impaired to experience the beauty of sculpture.”
