Tips from locals
One of my favorite neighborhoods in Atlanta. There's an awesome square that you can walk around in surrounded by lots of good restaurants and bars. Good for families too.
Decatur Square is full of shops and great places to eat. You can find it by driving or uber/lyft or MARTA as there is a stop on the square. Great eats: 246, Leon's, Victory Sandwich Bar, Brickhouse to name a few. There are events here too with music and more.

Decatur is a bit of a drive, but has a lot of nice restaurants and bars. It's a quaint little town.
