High end eating in some style. Not sure how chef Tom Kitchin is handling this part of his restaurant business since lockdown but it is open and we absolutely love his food. The set lunch is a huge bargain compared with the a la carte evening menu. The quality is unbeatable so book ahead if you want…

Leith boasts its own local Michelin star restaurant. The Kitchin. If you're looking for fine dining, this is the one. The portion sizes are generous for the fine dining experience, and the atmosphere, staff, and food are all faultless. Book way in advance though - weekends here can book up months…

A smartly converted whisky warehouse provides the perfect setting for this Michelin star restaurant. Chef-owner Tom Kitchin was born in Edinburgh and Scottish blood runs through this restaurant’s veins. The windswept highlands are brought inside courtesy of walls lined with tree bark, tartan tweed…

Bar
“One of the oldest style pubs in the area - in all the best ways! You feel like you're stepping back in time to a decadent, fisherman's bar, equipped with a fire crackling in the corner. It has a wonderful menu, and is also the place for a Sunday roast! ”

Seafood Restaurant
“Excellent seafood restaurant. Next door to the Shore Bar and owned by the same people. Lovely food, elegant surroundings. Nice views across the water of Leith. Book in adavance, usually quite busy.”

Café
“££, Great for brunch and near to the Shore on Leith. Famous for its pot-tails (that’s a cocktail in a teapot) and succulent Sunday roast, Roseleaf is one of Leith’s best-loved watering holes. “Wee bowls of soup” and “The Big Yin” feature on the colloquial Scots menu, accentuating the distinctly homey feel. It’s easy to while away an afternoon on the mismatched furniture, soaking up the atmosphere with a pot-tail or two. There’s also a great brunch menu with tasty vegetarian options, including eggs benedict, holy guacamole and “fancy fungi” (assorted wild mushrooms sauteed in garlic and parsley olive oil).”
