About this place
Locanda Vini e Olii opened in 2001 and quickly established itself as one of the most authentic Tuscan restaurants in NYC. Housed in a landmarked apothecary on a quiet corner in Brooklyn's Clinton Hill, this quintessential neighborhood restaurant features a menu full of ancient Florentine recipes using local and sustainable ingredients. Chef/owner Michele Baldacci (who also owns Camillo in Prospect Lefferts Gardens) was born and raised in Florence, and makes everything in house: from the Tuscan bread, to the pasta, to the desserts. Along with a full bar featuring a variety of spritzes and negronis, Locanda Vini e Olii boasts an impressive all-Italian wine list of hard-to-find varietals from some of the Italy's top wine producers. Save the cost of a plane ticket and treat yourself to a true Tuscan experience right here in Brooklyn.
Tips from locals
Superb Italian restaurant in an old pharmacy. On a corner of a quiet residential block. Nice side walk terrace.
A century-old former drugstore converted into a vintage space serving Northern Italian cuisine.
