Sushi Restaurant
“It’s a local staple in the Potrero neighborhood that’s been there for almost 10 years now. There’s a very inviting feel because if they don’t know you already, they’d love to get to know you. You can sit at the sushi counter and meet the sushi chefs—Jerry and Rico are here all of the time. Once they meet you, they’ll always remember who you are. All the rolls are delicious, but I especially like the a DJ roll, which has a scorched mayo on top, spicy tuna, and a nice jalapeño on each one. I also order the dragon rolls because I like unagi, and I like the fresh kabayaki sauce on top.”

Restaurant
“Aperto has been our neighborhood trattoria for more than 20 years for good reason. It's always good. Well priced, interesting daily menu, great fish, and great desserts. My favorite dish has never left the menu. It’s Tagliolini ‘Pepati,' a pasta dish with roasted tomatoes, bacon, and jalapeno. It's an unusual combination, but real comfort food. Great brunch too.”

Arts & Crafts Store
“As a trained designer, I'd say that Arch rivals the best of the art stores I've frequented in and out of art school. But, it's really for everyone. It has great cards, stamps, craft supplies, and fun gifts. I recently bought an artist's map of Potrero Hill to share with my airbnb guests at Arch (couldn't resist getting out my colored pencils to give it some flair.)”
