If you like Indian/pakistani Ravis will not let you down. Everyone from cabbies to five-star chefs flocks to this legendary Pakistani eatery (dating from 1978) where you eat like a prince and pay like a pauper. The dahl fry is amazing – gently spiced lentils in a silky yellow sauce – as is the mutton peshwari (spicy and a little sweet, with tender meat, full of flavour). Naans, crispy on the outside and soft in the middle, are the perfect way to make sure you get every drop of the delicious sauce. Biryanis are also plentiful and popular. It’s hard not to love Ravi, a restaurant worth seeking out, and returning to, as many Dubai residents will tell you.

Ravi's is a cultural institution in Dubai having set up shop in 1978. Serving Pakistani food with a Western palate in mind (read: not super spice :)), it is open virtually 24 hours with a couple of hours shutdown between 3-5am. Order the daal, chicken tikka, lamb chops, butter chicken and seekh kabab and end with chai. It will probably be cheaper than your Uber ride speaking of which, it is only a 10mins ride from SouthRidge. Must-try!
