Tips from locals

The local post office. If you need to just mail a letter, there is a mailbox if you go up the street to the end of Douglass, up the stairs to States street and make a right towards Castro. About half way down on the right side of the street, there is a mailbox.

“Affectionately referred to as the "glass coffin", Twin Peaks is a must for any visitor to San Francisco. Located at the corner of Market and Castro St (Southeast corner across from the Chevron Station), it was the first bar to feature windows so patrons could see in and out. Google "Twin Peaks Tavern" and read about its history on Wikipedia. ”
