Why locals recommend it
Not only does this store offer great people watching—a man trying to please a woman, a woman splurging after her first paycheck—but this is where you come for a square silk carré scarf. You may spend €350, but you can use it as a belt, around your neck, or tied to your purse—it is an eternal luxury item that never goes out of style. After more than 150 years on the Right Bank, Hermès crossed the Seine to open this museum-quality store in the former pool of the Lutetia Hotel. It was remodeled to be both modern and warm, with gigantic wooden huts and surprising wavy stairs.

This Hermès is built in what was the former pool space for Hotel Lutetia, you can still see the tiles from the pool inside.

Just go there to have a look at the shop. It used to be a pool, and it's amazing. You don't have to buy anything to enjoy it.

Enjoy French handmade luxury items....and even the window display is most often amazing. Don't be shy to go in, and just look around.
