A 25 minute drive will take you to this popular swimming and recreational beach between Mapua and Nelson. It has large grassed areas for leisure activities, barbeques, showers and toilets.

Beautiful large picnic spots, with the sea at the front. Great place for families. Gates close at 9pm at night. No camping. Bbq pits available, but need lighter or matches. Lots of wood in the trees. The turnoff to Rabbit Island is on the main highway between Mapua and Richmond.
