Tips from locals
Great beach and swim area. Also a nice shady park with lots going on.
Downtown Coeur d'Alene. 1.4 mile from the cottage. Your choice of a grassy knoll or a sandy beach to relax on. Large designated swim area is a popular training site for Ironman participants and toddlers wearing water wings as well.
About a 45 minute drive, CDA is a huge lake with a resort and large beachfront park. It’s also a mid-sized city with lots of shopping and restaurants. I suggest getting a Hudson burger. It’s a classic burger, just made one way and fresh as can be.

“This is a perfect hike that you can knock out in an hour or 2. It has amazing views of the lake the entire time and is a very easy trail to hike. We also love it because it is dog-friendly. You are supposed to keep the pups on a leash, but you can use your own discretion. We let them off if it's not super busy. ”
